Remedies for Irregular Periods

ALOE VERA

This helps treat menstrual irregularities naturally by regulating your hormones.

What to do:
a. Extract fresh Aloe Vera gel from an aloe leaf.
b. Mix in one teaspoon of honey
c. Consume it daily before having your breakfast.
d. Follow this remedy for about three months.

Note: DO NOT use this remedy during your periods.

GINGER

Ginger is another one of the very effective home remedies for irregular periods.
This is highly beneficial in regulating menstrual cycles and also relieving mestrual pains. It promotes menstruation and hence is good when dealing with deleayed periods.

What to do:

a. Boil one-half teaspoon of freshly ground ginger in a cup of water for five to seven minutes.
b. Add a little sugar to taste.
c. Drink this three times a day after meals.
d. Do this for about one month or more.

UNRIPE PAPAYA

Unripe and green papaya can normalize any irregular periods since it works an Emmenagogue (herbs which stimulate blood flow in the pelvic area) and it also helps contract muscle fibers in the uterus.
This is very beneficial for irregular periods associated with menopause and stress.

What to do:

a. Eat it regularly for two months or so.
b. Consume before your menstrual cycle
Note: DO NOT drink it during your periods.

CINNAMON

This is useful in reducing menstrual cramps and promoting menstrual cycle.
It contains hydroxychalcone that helps regulate insulin levels which is effective in regulating insulin and can affect the menstrual regularity.

What to do:

a. Add one-half teaspoon of cinnamon powder to a glass of milk.
b. Drink this daily for several weeks.

You can also:
o Drink cinnamon tea.
o Sprinkle cinnamon on your food.
o Chew cinnamon sticks regularly.
